Medical marijuana ‘edibles’ mostly mislabeled: Many too weak, some surprisingly strong — ScienceDaily.

BULLSHIT ALERT!

Their criterion for mislabeling is +/- 10%.  That’s ridiculously restrictive.  Imagine citing a restaurant for 10% variation on the weight of a meal, or 10% deviation from its stated nutritional list.

Cannabis is a plant.  You can measure the weight of the plant with great precision, but when you consider variations in the cannabinoids within the plant, precision falls off because raw cannabis contains THCa which must be decarboxylated by heat to be converted to THC.  And, old THC oxidizes to cannabinol and other cannabinoids of varying properties.  I would estimate that a +/- 30% tolerance would have been far more reasonable…..UNLESS you are trying to make a case for federal CONTROL.

Medical cannabis users know which brands to trust and which ones to avoid.  Keep government OUT of our business!
